I have a favorite Springtime poem that I wrote years ago. I posted this poem last year, but seemed to have lost the entire page of poetry I had built to commemorate April as national poetry month when I switched themes.
Sigh. I’m always changing or tweaking something on this site. Really, I know enough to be dangerous when it comes to bloggy, techy stuff. Regardless, I felt inspired this morning by the gray-golden sky, singing birds, and a dear friend’s poetry.
So, I pulled out my “Green fuzz.” I hope it makes you smile, today.
Green fuzz of spring
Creeps from brown claws;
Scrapes across gray –
Like a spirit
Awakened from
Its long slumber,
Trembling with hope.
