We love to read and listen to stories because they create magic and bestow a sense of wonder in the world. Stories teach us about life, the human condition, cause and effect, and much more. We discover ourselves in stories, and inevitably we share what lessons we’ve learned with others.

With this school year nearing its end, and the pandemic in full force, I wonder: Will my high school senior walk across the stage, accept his diploma, shake hands with the principal, and sit shoulder to shoulder with his fellow graduates?
With restaurants closed, gatherings forbidden, celebrations and sporting seasons canceled, how do you celebrate Mother’s day during the pandemic?
Making a list or two helps me get in the groove of writing, especially when I’m scattered.
